Ryan Crotin from RC13 Sports came to me to produce a brand photography campaign built for a hybrid pipeline. Practical imagery designed to integrate seamlessly with AI-generated environments across web, social, and digital placements. The challenge was technical. Every shot had to be lit to match the AI plates already in development, mirroring direction, quality, and color of light so the practical photography would sit invisibly inside the final composite. The result is a campaign of cinematic portraits, closer to character work than catalog, that now runs across RC13's national brand rollout, retail partnerships, and digital channels.

Pre-production opened with a look-development phase, breaking down each AI reference plate to map direction, quality, and color of light. From there we built a practical lighting plan for every shot, using a mix of HMI, tungsten, and RGB LED light panels shaped through diffusion and negative fill to match the rendered environments. The goal was simple but unforgiving: light not for the camera, but for the composite. Every frame had to sit invisibly inside its final plate. That meant matching contrast ratios, shadow density, and spectral response across sources, then trusting the prep when we got to set.
